Shane Dufresne (July 12 letter, "Response to D-SNAP scandal exposes bias against unions") should not be too amazed at union bias. As he states, arbiters assigned to hearings are mutually agreed upon by the union and the state (politicians).
What he does not mention is that most politicians in positions of power are bought and controlled by union leaders. Union members have nothing to do with this.
